GreenLab in GroIMP (and/or Julia)

Hello,

I’m very new to FSPMs and started a dedicated exploration of GreenLab (and the different versions). My background is in plant physiology and photosynthesis, so I really had to pull up my sleeves to catch on! Executing GreenLab and adding/ modifying sub-models trained from phenotyping datasets is a big task. We also are going to include climate sensors. I wanted to make sure I’m starting on a solid software foundation though. I’m new to MatLab and only have basic programming skills or knowhow, so an understandable GUI would be amazing.

Questions:

  1. I seen GroIMP has included GreenLab from a 2012 publication (Rule-based integration of GreenLab into GroIMP with GUI aided parameter input | IEEE Conference Publication | IEEE Xplore), has this received any further development? Are there any tutorials?
  2. Julia looks like a good platform too, has GreenLab diffused itself in that environment yet?

Hi Teles, Welcome!

I don’t know much about GreenLab, but I will tag some people that I think might help you

Hi Teles,

As far as I know there hasn’t been further development of Greenlab in GroIMP (well there has been some further development that hasn’t been published).

The implementation in GroIMP is available as XL code and can be further modified.

This presentation gives an overview of GreenLab in GroIMP (rather general):

If you have some specific questions, feel free to reach out.

Cheers,
Katarina
