The sections below outline various resources available for getting started with Helios.
Hardware
Helios runs on Windows, Linux, and MacOS. Several model plug-ins (e.g., radiation) require an NVIDIA GPU. This also means that plug-ins requiring a GPU are not compatible with MacOS.
Online Documentation
The online documentation page Redirecting... provides extensive documentation of the Helios software, and is a great place to start.

YouTube Videos

Intimidated by C++?
Many perspective users of Helios are put off by the fact that Helios is C++ based. The Helios interface was specifically designed to minimize the amount of C++ knowledge required to use it. It uses only a few basic C++ concepts, and users with prior programming experience in any language (especially object-oriented languages) usually pick it up quickly.
We have made a YouTube video that teaches you essentially everything you need to know as far as C++ programming in order to work with Helios.
